Song of God-Bhagavad Gita

Bhagavad Gita-Song of God is a timeless(beyond
time-trikala-past,present,future) treasure handed down by God Himself
in Person. It was spoken 5000 years ago at Kurukshetra(near Delhi),
India by the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna Himself. This 700+ verses of
Bhagavad Gita is the essence of all Vedic literature. One who reads
this book is sure to dispel the darkness of ignorance&experience the
existence of God who is full of knowledge.
There is a lot of literatures which are created by ordinary human
beings but they are subjected to get lost over a period of time. Also
those literatures are not perfect because the authors themselves are
imperfect. No man is perfect, but God&those who practice&repeat the
word of God is perfect.
Therefore this knowledge is the King of all knowledge and knowing
this, nothing further shall remain for you to know! This knowledge is
applicable to all the living beings at all times-past,present,future.
Human life is a means to understand the purpose, existence of the real
self(spirit soul),material nature,the creation,the creator,the actions
of individual souls&its reactions.

My humble request to you is to read through the lines of this book
carefully to explore the real treasure. And I am sure you will become
perfect, successful&happier in your life than you are, by finding new
meaning to get an eternal life just by your practice in this small
portion of our(soul) life in this mortal body which is a gap between
birth and death.

Hari Om Tat Sat!

The Killing of Grandsire Bhisma!!!

Shikhandi (Sanskrit: शिखंडी, Śikhaṇḍī ; Indonesian, Srikandi) is a character in the Hindu epic, the Mahābhārata. He was originally born as a girl child named 'Shikhandini' to Drupada, the king of Panchala. Shikhandi fought in the Kurukshetra war on the side of the Pandavas, along with his father Drupada and brother Dhristadyumna.
He had been born in an earlier lifetime as a woman named Amba, who had won in swayamvara by Bhishma for his younger brother and later sent her back to her lover who insulted her and sent her back to Bhishma. Rejected by Bhishma for marriage, due to his oath of lifelong celibacy, and feeling deeply humiliated and wanting revenge, Amba carried out great prayers and penance with the desire to be the cause of Bhishma's death. Amba was then reborn as Shikhandini.
King Drupada knew who she was and she was sent on exile as king Drupada feared of fighting from Bhishma. She again did great prayers and gained manhood. In the battle of Kurukshetra, Bhishma recognised him as Amba reborn, and not wanting to fight 'a woman', lowered his weapons. Knowing that Bhishma would react thus to Shikhandi, Arjuna hid behind Shikhandi and attacked Bhishma with a devastating volley of arrows. Thus, only with Shikhandi's help could Arjuna deal a death blow to Bhishma, who had been virtually invincible until then.
Shikhandi was finally killed by Ashwatthama on the 18th day of battle
