Exponential Suffering

We are burdened by the sufferings caused by our own material desires that cause so much turbulence or agitation in our minds. And to execute the plan to fulfill the desire of one single person, one has to undergo so much of hardships. When we expand ourselves with family members, the resulting desires are not just multiplied by the number of our family but increased exponentially and so does the suffering or the hardships one has to undergo in the process of fulfilling the desires.

Those who have entered into the forest of family life already know the dangers of the family life and the manifold sufferings that are imposed for the struggle for existence. Jada Bharata instructs King Rahugana in Srimad Bhagavatam that,

"In this forest there are plunderers (the six senses) as well as carnivorous animals like jackals, wolves and lions (wife, children and other relatives) who are always anxious to suck the blood from the head of the family. The forest plunderers and the carnivorous blood-sucking animals combine to exploit the energy of a man within this material world. In this forest there is also a black hole, covered by grass, into which one may fall. Coming into the forest and being captivated by so many material attractions, one identifies himself with this material world, society, friendship, love and family.

Having lost the path and not knowing where to go, being harassed by animals and birds, one is also victimized by many desires. Thus one works very hard within the forest and wanders here and there. He becomes captivated by temporary happiness and becomes aggrieved by so-called distress. Actually one simply suffers in the forest from so-called happiness and distress. Sometimes he is attacked by a snake (deep sleep), and due to the snakebite he loses consciousness and becomes puzzled and bewildered about discharging his duties. Sometimes he is attracted by women other than his wife, and thus be thinks he enjoys extramarital love with another woman. He is attacked by various diseases, by lamentation and by summer and winter. Thus one within the forest of the material world suffers the pains of material existence.

Expecting to become happy, the living entity changes his position from one place to another, but actually a materialistic person within the material world is never happy. Being constantly engaged in materialistic activities, he is always disturbed. He forgets that one day he has to die. Although he suffers severely, being illusioned by the material energy, he still hankers after material happiness. In this way he completely forgets his relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Echo in Krishna's ear

via Gouranga-Epistle Of Love by Maral Alimova on 8/19/11

-Do you hear this sound, Arjuna?
-Which sound? No, I do not hear anything.
It was long after battle of Kurukshetra. Arjuna and Krishna were sitting together and Krishna opened His heart to His friend.
He told that still I hear the crying voice of Draupadi calling My Name: "Hey, Govinda!" This echo is still there in my ear and heart.
And every time I keep Myself ready to run to help to her."
—————–
When Draupadi was put before the assembled guests of Hastinapur in not suitable form and cruel hearted Duhshasana wanted
to take her sari out she, crying, started to beg for the help. She asked for the help to the most powerful warriors like Bhishmadev,
Dronacharya what to say about her own husbands?! For that time, even being an emperor, Dhiratashtra refused to help her.
Then loosing her hope for anyone, Draupadi thought she will protect her herself.
When Duhshasana shamelessly started to pull her sari she tried to catch her sari and stop him. Later she understood that her
strength is nothing comparatively to Duhshasana's. She remembered Krishna, that He only can help her. That He is only dearest
Friend and real Protector of helpless. Draupadi catching with one hand her sari and another holding up, cried out:
-Hey, Govinda!!! Hey, Govinda!!!
Within last moments, she was in the stage of being disgraced to whole society. What to do? Who will help her?
Realizing that she can not do anything, loosing her hope for her own endeavors she surrendered to the will of Krishna.
Crying loudly, holding both of her hands up, she called:
-Hey, Govinda!!!
Only You can help me!
-Hey, Govinda!!!
Please, beg You, hear me!
-Hey, Govinda!!!
Oh, dearest Friend, my only Shelter! Please, do not neglect me!!!
Of course, Krishna is with us always. Every moment He is waiting us to turn our glance towards Him. He never leaves
us alone, because He knows that we are being insignificant may be lost in this huge creation.
We should understand that whatever difficulty we see in our life is only for our benefit. Difficulties are there to give to us
a lesson and the understanding that only Krishna can help us.
If we even once call the Name of Krishna with full faith and surrender to Him, He will deliver us. He will take us to His lap.
Pure sound of His Holy Names uttered by sincere Devotees with shivering voice will create echo in His ears.

This world is designed for suffering!

This material world is designed in such a way the conditioned souls cannot enjoy the senses the way they want.

Thats the nature of the design of the illusory energy if the Lord  to punish the conditioned souls for the mischievous behaviour
towards the Supremacy of the Lord and teach them lessons to understand their dependency on the Lord.
