Maya will slap us down!

One can never take Krishna for granted. He can never think:

"I've done so much service… so much! You know in my days, we used to go to sankirtan and we used to distribute so many books. There were so many books that one man could not lift them! So in the past we did so much service, and that's why in the present we don't have to do anything!"

It's not like that, then immediately maya is there!

'Kṛṣṇa-bahirmukha haiyā bhoga-vāñchā kare
nikaṭa-stha māyā tāre jāpatiyā dhare',

Jagadananda Pandita in 'The Prema Vivarta', says that:

"Maya is waiting nearby, and as soon as we are showing a little interest by just looking with interest in the material energy – maya is not waiting for us to fall down… she will slap us DOWN!"

So, yes maya is a great devotee of Krishna, and maybe a greater devotee than we are! We need the shelter of Krishna, again and again. Even in the spiritual world, we have to always conquer Krishna. In the spiritual world we are free from maya, but to get the mercy of Krishna we have to always conquer it again and again!

No rights… no claim

You know how it is when a lady gets married. Before the marriage everything is romantic, and then there is the marriage. Once he has the ring on his finger, then something has changed. Now you have responsibilities. He's your husband:

"You have to protect me! You have to provide. It's your duty to bring in the money!"

"Yes dear…of course….yes!"

The relationship that Krishna has with the gopis is 'parakīya', paramour.

Paramour – no rights… no claim… nothing. In married life some claim is there. But with paramour there is no claim – that's Krishna Consciousness!

We have to change

Sent to you by dinesh via Google Reader:

via kksblog.com by hina on 10/1/11

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, New Ekacakra, Slovakia, 2011)

We have to try and understand what Krishna is teaching us. Krishna is the teacher. He is teaching Bhagavad Gita. So Krishna says:

"In this material world there are three modes of material nature. We gradually have to rise from the lower modes of nature of passion and ignorance to the mode of goodness!".

In the mode of passion, we don't think, we react immediately! If someone says:

"You stupid!"

We say:

"What!!"

No thinking in between, since in the mode of passion we respond immediately! But in the mode of goodness, we don't respond immediately, since we have to think first! So if someone says to us:

"You stupid!"

"I have to think about that. Or maybe he's right… but still I wish he didn't say all of that to me."

Well Krishna says in 'The Nectar of Instructions' that:

"There are six loving exchanges between devotees".

It says that one of these exchanges is that you have to give gifts to devotees.

"Maybe I'll try that… or some prasadam – maybe that will work".

Even if the other devotee still doesn't change, and continues to say:

"You stupid".

At least we will change by trying to act as a vaisnava, and gradually we develop the qualities of the vaisnava, and then we become more tolerable by doing all of these things. So we are no longer disturbed.

The fact that we are disturbed when someone doesn't behave very nicely with us, means that we are still under the influence of the three modes of material nature. So we are not transcendental.

So lets first come to the mode of goodness and think before we act, and look at what Krishna says, to do in these situations. That's how we deal with these situations!

Everyone has somebody or a few people who they don't get on so well with. Some people don't get on with anybody! We have to try to change, by becoming more in the mode of goodness. It will take some time, but we have to practise it!

Conquering Krishna

Sent to you by dinesh via Google Reader:

via kksblog.com by hina on 10/2/11

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, Helsinki, Finland, 2011)

We are chanting in a matter of routine – the same everyday…….and everyday we are not making a fresh attempt. It's because we are affected by impersonalism, because we are chanting the holy name without appreciating that the holy name is Krishna. In the relationship with Krishna, one has to always conquer Krishna. We have to always keep in mind, that each time we want the mercy of Krishna than we have to conquer Krishna and never think:

"I did it yesterday, so I have a special relationship with Krishna. I have done all this service in the past and therefore Krishna will grant me special mercy!"

No! One has to conquer Krishna again and again! That is what we see….Krishna in Vrindavan…..he disappears from the rasa lila. The devotees have to conquer him again and again! So we also have to think like that, that everyday again we have to try a special endeavour.

It's difficult to do….it's not so easy. It is for that reason that the acaryas have selected quotes from the scripture about the special dates in Krishna Consciousness. For example, Ekadasi, and on such days we try and do something more. Or in Janmashtami, we try and do something more, in terms of chanting and service.

Those special occasions are very important, because they break the routine of getting into an automatic level of chanting. But then when we sometimes try something special, then we can break out from this mood of routine.

So Srila Prabhupada did not recommend that the devotees would regularly take time off from active service to chant very large numbers of rounds. We don't see that, that Prabhupada started a day with chanting sixty four rounds like everyday or on Ekadasi, or regularly. But Prabhupada at least recommended that one would chant twenty five rounds on Ekadasi. Prabhupada was certainly in favour in chanting more rounds. In one letter he said:

"Why sixteen rounds? Why not sixteen thousand rounds?"

So he definitely was wanting us to do more.

And at the time of initiation, we also ask devotees to chant inimum of sixteen rounds, but not just sixteen but a minimum!

So one must have the attitude of trying to chant more and especially on special occasions!

Realizing the mission of the spiritual master

Sent to you by dinesh via Google Reader:

via Divyangi Lalita Devi Dasi's Facebook Notes by Divyangi Lalita Devi Dasi on 8/3/11

When your heart becomes clean, then you will realize the mission of the spiritual master more and more. Your role there also will become very clear because you will realize that you are an eternal servant of Krishna and that serving the spiritual master's order is not different from serving Krishna. But without hearing it is very difficult for the heart to become clean.

Why the Lord tests His devotees?

Sent to you by dinesh via Google Reader:

via Divyangi Lalita Devi Dasi's Facebook Notes by Divyangi Lalita Devi Dasi on 9/23/11

Radhanath Swami also reveals God's plan in testing His dear devotees. God wants us to be purified of all contamination and be desirous of exclusive dedication to a spiritual cause. He wants to also strengthen our faith in him. Quoting his guru, Radhanath Swami offers another interesting reason why God tests his devotees. "God wants to glorify His devotees to the whole world", says Radhanath Swami, "He wants us to see the calibre of His dear devotees who face hardships, and yet never give up their loyalty to God." Radhanath Swami gives the analogy of an Indian home where the daughter-in law is new to the customs of her husband's family. The mother-in-law sees minor mistakes in the cooking of the newly arrived bride. She knows if she corrects her, she would be nervous. Hence she chastises her own daughter about a mistake, within the earshot of the daughter-in-law. The daughter-in-law then gets the message and learns her lessons. Similarly, Radhanath Swami says God puts his own dear devotees in difficulties so that a neophyte can take inspiration and learn his own lessons in his spiritual quest.

Taking small incremental steps...

Sent to you by dinesh via Google Reader:

via Divyangi Lalita Devi Dasi's Facebook Notes by Divyangi Lalita Devi Dasi on 9/24/11

Looking over my garden this morning, I saw that it needed weeding.

With limited time however, I could weed only a small patch. Nonetheless, I walked away happy.

If I had thought of weeding the whole yard, I may have postponed the work leaving the weeds -- which never take time off -- to gain ground.

However, dealing with just a small patch allowed me to focus until that small area was clean and neat.

Indeed, after I had completed this small task, I felt satisfied and encouraged.

Similarly, purifying the heart and controlling the mind and senses sometime seem a daunting task. But, if I focus on one aspect of my bhakti practice each day and make a small, incremental improvement, I gain confidence and look forward to doing more the next day.

Achieving a tiny bit of progress in your devotional practice each day builds faith and momentum and leads to a beautiful-looking bhakti garden in your heart.

Which little area of your bhakti garden will you work on today?

With gratitude and affection,

Vaisesika Dasa

1. O Lord Nitai, please be merciful to me! The devotees say You are the shelter of the fallen souls who have no shelter.

2. Glories to You! Among the saints who give the gift of devotional service and spiritual love, You are the leader who carries the flag. You make no distiction between high and low. You give spiritual love to everyone.

3. Your gift of love brings happiness to the hearts of everyone on the world. You are, in fact, the Lord of Mercy. When You are present how can I remain unhappy?

4. Kanurama dasa says: What shall I say? O Lord Nitai, my faith rests in You alone. You are the Deity I and my family worship.

Great Expectations - Lord Caitanya! Please give me service to Your lotus feet!

Sent to you by dinesh via Google Reader:

via Indradyumna Swami's Facebook Notes by Indradyumna Swami on 9/27/11

I am resting... but am restless. Our Brazilian festival tour starts in a few days. My heart is beating strongly in great expectation. Soon Lord Caitanya's mercy will flow like a powerful river throughout that land. It happened before - and it will happen again. I can think of nothing better. "If the rare mystic perfections were to fall into my hands, if the demigods approached to become my servants, and if my form became the four-armed form of a resident of Vaikuntha, my mind would not swerve from Lord Gauranga for even a moment."

[ Srila Prabodhananda Saravati, Sri Caitanya-candramrta, Text 64 ]

Lord Caitanya! Please give me service to Your lotus feet!

"Dog cannot become God", Srila Prabhupada-Uncompromising preaching

---------- Forwarded message ----------

Uncompromising preaching

After the lecture, during the time set aside for questions, a
short-haired, serious-looking young man made a bold statement that
surprised the audience: he had decided to live forever! Prabhupada
assured him that this was impossible. "You cannot be eternal. This is
a material body."

The young man offered a possible scenario: "Why not make the material
spiritual? Why not make everything 'all-conscious'."

Prabhupada conceded that if one became Krsna conscious then he could
maintain his spiritual consciousness even after giving up this body.
But spiritually aware or not, the body was not eternal, and would be
changed at death.

The young man continued to argue: Why was it necessary to change one's
body at all?

Prabhupada patiently explained further: "Your body has already
changed. You have come from childhood to this point. You could not
remain as a child."

The man was stubborn. "Well, just because my body has changed up till
now, it doesn't mean that it has to change in the future."

"How you can?" Prabhupada challenged. "Why did you not remain as a child?"

The young man decided to reveal his real identity: "Well, if I decide
that I am God and I created everything."

Prabhupada spoke firmly. "Dog can decide he is God. But does it mean
that he is God?"

As the young man's arguments became more preposterous, the devotees
groaned in amazement.

"Well, it's my prerogative to decide to take the responsibility of being God."

Prabhupada would take none of his nonsense: "Why don't you decide to
become President Nixon?"

Man: I don't want that.

Prabhupada: It is nonsense. We don't talk with this nonsense. We talk
scientifically.

Man: I'd rather take on the responsibility of the universe.

Prabhupada: If you decide that 'I become President Nixon', can you become?

Man: Yes.

Prabhupada: You can become?

Prabhupada paused and added dryly, "Then become."

The whole audience was hanging on every word, and laughing heartily at
Prabhupada's succinct answers.

"First become -- then talk. If you are not becoming, and you talk,
then you talk nonsense. First become God, then talk that you have
become God. We have got our conception of God. God is all-powerful.
Are you all powerful?"

Man: Yes, I am.

(Laughter)

Prabhupada: If I give you a kick on your face, can you protest?

(More laugher)

The man was taken aback.

Man: Well, you can kick; okay, okay, you can kick me if you want,
that's your decision.

Prabhupada: Then what power you have to check it?

Man: The power that I have as a human being.

Prabhupada: Then how are you God? You have power as a human being and
you are claiming that you have become God.

Man: But as a human being it's my right to think ..

Prabhupada: That's all right, you have got right as a human being. Why
are you claiming that you have become God? That is your foolishness.
You must become as powerful as God, then you claim that you are God.
The same thing, you first of all become President, then you claim that
you are as good as President Nixon. Before that you cannot claim. You
may say you have got the potency -- that I admit -- but first of all
become and then you talk. God is all-powerful. When you become
all-powerful, then you have become God.

Man: Well then I'll have to show you.

Prabhupada: But how can I believe you? If you do not show me then how
can I believe you?

Man: I accept the challenge. Just give me a little time.

Prabhupada: That is another nonsense.

(Howling laughter)

Just like Arjuna wanted Krsna, 'How shall I know that you are
all-powerful?' He immediately showed him the universal form. So if you
are God, then you show me your universal form. Then I shall believe
you. Don't believe in these nonsense ideas; you are misguided that you
are God.

Man: Give me something better then. I can't think of anything better
than God, can you?

Prabhupada: Well, you can think nonsense, you can think anything, I
don't mind, but I say 'Don't be misguided'. It is up to you.

The man was finally silent. There was nothing more to say. Prabhupada
asked the devotees to chant. As he picked up his shiny brass karatals,
Prabhupada turned to the man and with a look of great compassion
offered him one last piece of advice. "Become God-ly. Don't become
God."

Song of God-Bhagavad Gita

Bhagavad Gita-Song of God is a timeless(beyond
time-trikala-past,present,future) treasure handed down by God Himself
in Person. It was spoken 5000 years ago at Kurukshetra(near Delhi),
India by the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna Himself. This 700+ verses of
Bhagavad Gita is the essence of all Vedic literature. One who reads
this book is sure to dispel the darkness of ignorance&experience the
existence of God who is full of knowledge.
There is a lot of literatures which are created by ordinary human
beings but they are subjected to get lost over a period of time. Also
those literatures are not perfect because the authors themselves are
imperfect. No man is perfect, but God&those who practice&repeat the
word of God is perfect.
Therefore this knowledge is the King of all knowledge and knowing
this, nothing further shall remain for you to know! This knowledge is
applicable to all the living beings at all times-past,present,future.
Human life is a means to understand the purpose, existence of the real
self(spirit soul),material nature,the creation,the creator,the actions
of individual souls&its reactions.

My humble request to you is to read through the lines of this book
carefully to explore the real treasure. And I am sure you will become
perfect, successful&happier in your life than you are, by finding new
meaning to get an eternal life just by your practice in this small
portion of our(soul) life in this mortal body which is a gap between
birth and death.

Hari Om Tat Sat!

The Killing of Grandsire Bhisma!!!

Shikhandi (Sanskrit: शिखंडी, Śikhaṇḍī ; Indonesian, Srikandi) is a character in the Hindu epic, the Mahābhārata. He was originally born as a girl child named 'Shikhandini' to Drupada, the king of Panchala. Shikhandi fought in the Kurukshetra war on the side of the Pandavas, along with his father Drupada and brother Dhristadyumna.
He had been born in an earlier lifetime as a woman named Amba, who had won in swayamvara by Bhishma for his younger brother and later sent her back to her lover who insulted her and sent her back to Bhishma. Rejected by Bhishma for marriage, due to his oath of lifelong celibacy, and feeling deeply humiliated and wanting revenge, Amba carried out great prayers and penance with the desire to be the cause of Bhishma's death. Amba was then reborn as Shikhandini.
King Drupada knew who she was and she was sent on exile as king Drupada feared of fighting from Bhishma. She again did great prayers and gained manhood. In the battle of Kurukshetra, Bhishma recognised him as Amba reborn, and not wanting to fight 'a woman', lowered his weapons. Knowing that Bhishma would react thus to Shikhandi, Arjuna hid behind Shikhandi and attacked Bhishma with a devastating volley of arrows. Thus, only with Shikhandi's help could Arjuna deal a death blow to Bhishma, who had been virtually invincible until then.
Shikhandi was finally killed by Ashwatthama on the 18th day of battle

Please forgive whatever I may have done in madness or in love

Bhagavad-gita As It Is | Part [BG.11.26]

TEXTS 41-42:

sakheti matva prasabham yad uktam
he krishna he yadava he sakheti
ajanata mahimanam tavedam
maya pramadat pranayena vapi

yac cavahasartham asat-krito 'si
vihara-sayyasana-bhojaneshu
eko 'tha vapy acyuta tat-samaksham
tat kshamaye tvam aham aprameyam

TRANSLATION:

Thinking of You as my friend, I have rashly addressed You "O Krishna," "O Yadava," "O my friend," not knowing Your glories. Please forgive whatever I may have done in madness or in love. I have dishonored You many times, jesting as we relaxed, lay on the same bed, or sat or ate together, sometimes alone and sometimes in front of many friends. O infallible one, please excuse me for all those offenses.

PURPORT:

Although Krishna is manifested before Arjuna in His universal form, Arjuna remembers his friendly relationship with Krishna and is therefore asking pardon and requesting Krishna to excuse him for the many informal gestures which arise out of friendship. He is admitting that formerly he did not know that Krishna could assume such a universal form, although Krishna explained it as his intimate friend. Arjuna did not know how many times he may have dishonored Krishna by addressing Him "O my friend," "O Krishna," "O Yadava," etc., without acknowledging His opulence. But Krishna is so kind and merciful that in spite of such opulence He played with Arjuna as a friend. Such is the transcendental loving reciprocation between the devotee and the Lord. The relationship between the living entity and Krishna is fixed eternally; it cannot be forgotten, as we can see from the behavior of Arjuna. Although Arjuna has seen the opulence in the universal form, he cannot forget his friendly relationship with Krishna.

Translation and commentary by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

KKSblog.com - To be in a mood of the Gosvamis

To be in a mood of the Gosvamis

Posted: 29 Sep 2011 12:12 PM PDT

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, New Ekacakra, Slovakia, 2011)

Srila Prabhupada was speaking about the Krsna-Balarama Mandir. He explained:

"I want twenty five Gosvamis to stay here in this Krsna- Balarama Mandir! Twenty five men who are just like the six Gosvamis. I want them to stay here. When we are in that mood then we can serve Krishna! Unless we become absorbed in hearing and chanting just like the Gosvamis, then we will not be able to appreciate devotional service."

Then we think that:

" Our spiritual masters gave us all these responsibilities. We have to look after the deities and the temple… it's too much! He's just giving us too much headache!"

And one will experience that devotional service is becoming a burden:

"It's too much! All this service is too much! All this chanting is too much. Getting up too early is just too much!"

So this will happen when we are not sufficiently absorbed in hearing and chanting, and that we will begin to experience devotional service as being mundane… although it is not!

Deeply absorbed

Posted: 29 Sep 2011 07:04 AM PDT

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, New Ekacakra, Slovakia, 2011)

All these acaryas, wrote commentaries about so many scriptures, and if you look at these commentaries, you can see that they studied every verse very carefully. They read the verse and were thinking about it:

"What does this mean?"

So they spent a lot of time with the scriptures! Srila Prabhupada used to go to sleep at about 10.30 PM and rise at 12.30 AM, and then spend the night absorbed in scriptures. And of course, he was trying to enter deep into the scriptures and present the essence to the people of the world! But he was deeply absorbed, so that is the only way! We will never become Krishna Conscious if we don't become absorbed!

Like 'Facebook Like' ???

When we like someone we'll start liking everything associated with
that person.Likewise if we dont like someone we hate everything that's
linked to that person. When we dont like someone, seeing things
associated with that person, brings us so much irritation.
A mother when she sees the dress of her child(in absence) thinks of
that child with so much Love. Same applies to husband/wife
relationships.
Now in Bhagavad Gita,Krishna says How He has manifested Himself as
material nature. So when we see the magnanimity and beauty of nature
we've to remember Krishna.
There's nothing in the entire cosmic manifestation without the
touch/control of Krishna.
Therefore, everything can be used to connect with Krishna, as it's
already connected to Him. Even though He is very far(Goloka),He's
near(everywhere) as well.

Hari Om Tat Sat!(this is done as a sacrifice to the Supreme
Personality of Godhead,Sri Krishna)

Maya is kicking to teach us lessons!

Maya is repeatedly kicking to make us understand that we are not enjoyers.
It's this desire to enjoy disparately from the Supreme Lord which is
bringing so much frustration in our lives. The more we want to enjoy,
the more we'll suffer. The less we want to enjoy, the less the
suffering.
Inference is we are not enjoyers but by just co-operating for the
enjoyment of the Supreme Lord,we feel unlimited bliss even though we
are limited. Fruitive activities mentioned in the Vedas are traps for
a devotee of Krishna and it's only for those who think they can be
happy within this world.

KKSblog.com - This is the Aim of life Part 2

This is the Aim of life Part 2

Posted: 27 Sep 2011 08:00 AM PDT

(Kadamba Kanana Swami, New Ekacakra, Slovakia, 2011)

We must look for purification, and try to bring more Krishna in our life! Still it is described that when Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur was chanting, that he was not doing it in a fanatic mood. He was not pushing himself, and he was chanting so many rounds. But it said that he was chanting quite slow. And that he was chanting in a almost musical way. So in this way we see that when the ācāryas are chanting they are not thinking:

"When will I finish my rounds….when will this chanting be finished! I have to get seriously into it and then my chanting will be finished….just a little more and then my chanting will be finished".

This is the nature of the conditioned soul. What we see in great devotees like
Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur, is that they were very happy to be chanting! So there was no rush!

Let’s Talk by Jahnavi Harrison

Let's Talk.

by jahnavi

The Hudson reminded me of the Ganges last night.

Last night I arrived in NYC again, skimming over the Hudson at sunset to touch down in the city once more.

I've been saying my mantra 'I'm trying not to travel - it just keeps happening!' Needless to say, I must not be trying very hard, because my wheels keep turning. This month I came from England straight to LA, to Joshua Tree, to Santa Barbara, to Laguna Beach, to Florida, and now back in the Big Apple. It's all connected in an attempt to take kirtan wherever there is an enthusiasm for it, but it can sometimes feel like living in a series of trailers. Movie trailers that is, not Winnebagos. The people around me are changing all the time - the places, the pillows, the temperature. I try and stay as adaptable as I can, but it can be overwhelming at times. As soon as you adjust, you're changing again. There are only a few constants in the midst of it all.

One is my personal sadhana - my japa meditation that I do every day. Though I sometimes struggle with time zone changes to get up early and do it first thing, and doing it on the plane is an exercise in fighting every kind of distraction possible, if I give it priority, it gives focus and spiritual strength to my life on a daily basis. The other is unfortunately, my laptop. Staying connected with the world through email, Skype, and though I hate to say it, Facebook, gives some continuity. It's alright I suppose - a symptom of our modern age. But sometimes I worry that looking at a screen becomes easier than interacting with those around me. Sometimes you just don't want to answer the same old questions again, or tell your life history to yet another new set of perfectly well intentioned people.

I've always been shy, so this is something I've thought about a lot in my life. What is the value of making the endeavour to connect personally? In gaining confidence, and trying to remember that my laptop and phone are just tools for genuine human exchange, it's getting easier to realise that the true and deep connection between people is magical. Closing the email inbox and opening myself to an unexpected conversation in person has often had the most extraordinary consequences, within and without. It's common sense, but sometimes that's not so common.

I attribute so much of anything going right in my life to encouragement and love from others. There is a quality of energy exchange that seems to be able to transform, from the inside out. All the more so in person, as I have been experiencing lately. Though there are all too many people whose kind words are only niceties, there are also an equal amount who really mean what they say. If words took physical shape and form as they emerged, perhaps they'd be jewels.

Electric communication will never be a substitute for the face of someone who with their soul encourages another person to be brave and true.  - Charles Dickens

KKSblog.com - To work for the benefit of others

Posted: 25 Sep 2011 04:47 PM PDT
(Kadamba Kanana Swami, Martin, Slovakia, 2011)

The whole world has a spiritual tradition. Just see everywhere in every country,
there are temples mosques, churches and all kinds of religious things.
There are pyramids. The whole world has many traditional monuments everywhere.

I went to Rio De Janeiro and on the side of the city where the mountain is,
there is a 45 metres high statue of Jesus. It's impressive, when you stand
in the city of Rio De Janeiro, then you can see that statue, which really
looks like somebody is watching over this city. Some people may or
may not believe it, but it does emanate some power.
If we go to Rome and look at the Vatican, it is impressive.
Such a big building that we become a little humble. Our mind goes through
different moods. Sometimes we are proud….we feel strong, and
other times when we stand on top of a mountain we feel small! In
all the traditions of the world we find an exceptional class of people,
which are known as the saints.
The west has its saints….the east has its saints. These saints
are people who are very religious minded, and they seem to
have a great happiness within. So history had its saints
and also in modern times, there are still saintly people – people
who are willing to work for the benefit of others!
Posted: 25 Sep 2011 04:40 PM PDT
(Kadamba Kanana Swami, Martin, Slovakia, 2011)

Everyday we ask people:
"How are you? Are you all right?"
We constantly have to ask, because the mind is just like the weather – it changes all the time. In this way people are actually under the control of the mind. The mind is connected to the senses:
"Oh, what do we see? I must have it? Whatever I see, I must have."
The eyes are connected to my mind:
"Now I see it, and now it is in my head. I think about and dream about it. I cannot live without it anymore.
Yes, but we must learn to rise above the mind! Because this mind gets us entangled in so many things, and all these things – we desire them, but how much happiness do they bring us? So many false dreams!

The Monster Market of the Gangsters!

The whole marketing industry is making huge profits by inducing the
common mass of people with the attraction between the opposite sex.
You might have seen in most of the advertisements that there'll be no
relation between the product or service being promoted and the theme
of the ads.
The ads are made after thorough psychological
Study in such a way that we'll get enamoured by the ads even without
our knowledge. They inject poison into our minds and influence our
consciousness without even our notice.
Actually people want themselves to be cheated and they like themselves
cheated by some one who does word jugglery.
The sweet feminine voice is another tool to attract anyone who hears
that. Thats why you can see any women who can sing so nicely are
making huge money in the marketing industry. But unless we understand
that we are being exploited by our own sinful desires(which is to
enjoy the nature separately from God),there's no chance of us saving
our soul.
One who loses the imperishable(soul) soon loses the perishable(body)
as well.If wealth is lost nothing is lost, but if character is
lost,everything is lost!

Krishna always wears peacock feather-Must Read!

When one day Krishna woke first from a rest in the forest with his
cowherd friends, he decided to wake everyone and call the cows grazing
at a distance by playing his flute. When Krishna blew the nectar of
his lips into the flute, a melodious raga with a slow rhythm and a
deep base emerged from its end. This wonderful vibration enchanted the
peacocks in and around the Govardhan hills. Their hearts began to sing
in happiness and fill the skies with their own song. The resonant
vibrations from the flute encouraged the peacocks to dance. Krishna,
who is the source of all dramatic arts, was pleased with their dance
and encouraged them by his kind glances and sweet smiling. They cried
with joy and it sounded all over the hills. In time, their sounds
became indistinguishable from the echoes. They became excited and
jumped up and down, flapping their wings. As the peacocks danced, the
kings of peacocks made his way to the lotus feet of SriKrishna,
touches His holy feet and makes a sound which SriKrishna understands
as a thanking note and requesting Him to dance with them. SriKrishna
accepts to dance and moves amidst them, dancing like the peacocks
increasing the tempo and playing to the rhythm of His steps. The bliss
of the peacocks increased multifold when SriKrishna danced with them.
It was so overwhelming, that some peacocks fainted. All the animals
and cowherds of the Govardhan hills stood transfixed, unable to move
their eyes away from the dance of SriKrishna. The flute in
SriKrishna's hand seeing the uncommon performance of its master began
to sing on its own. The spectacle was extremely splendid when seen
from the top of the Govardhan hills, the heaven and even the
netherland. They danced for a long time and slowly the tired peacocks
stopped dancing. Then Krishna danced to the rhythm of His own steps.
After many days, when he stopped dancing, there was an enchanting
silence. The king of the peacocks approached SriKrishna with great
humility, bowed down his head and said, "You have created a festival
of bliss for which we remain eternally indebted to You. It is our duty
to offer you 'Gurudakshina'. I request You to accept our only
opulence, our plumage. Wear them on your crown as a decoration." With
large tears of ecstasy, the king of peacocks dropped many divine
feathers. SriKrishna lovingly accepted the offering of the peacocks
and picked up the feathers and to everybody's joy, placed a few of
them on his turban. Thus he came to wear the peacock feathers.
