V see d World as reflection of d state of our mind!

Mind wen not trained properly, brings disaster2 1's own self&d people
around.After all,you become wat u think.V c d world as a reflection of
our mind. Our observation of d world/people is not perfect/exactly wat
v c,but ltd by d state of our mind.A drunkard will c everything around
different than 1who's nt.
One best example is Lord Krsna asked Maharaj Yudhistra2find&bring d
worst person in d kingdom&Duryodana2find&bring d best person.
Both came back2Krsna&Yudhistra said out of humility that he cud nt
find any1worse than himself.A person who feels the presence of God
sees his own fault greater than others'&remains humble.
Whereas duryodana said he's d best&he cudnt find any1better than himself.

Electricity-Invention or Discovery?

In d BhagavadGita,LordSriKrsna says,My abode(place-Spiritual planets)
is not illuminated by electricity or fire but is
self-luminant&havingthus attained once,d conditioned souls shall never
return2dis temporary miserable world.Once I had dis doubt,electricity
was invented only by our scientists. How come,Krishna is talking abt
it.So it's not invention but discovery. later I got the intelligence
dat lightning, thunder are all natural sources of hi power
electricity&so electricity is nothing new. Just see how dis modern
science makes us athiestic&blind2real science.

Krishna is a thief

When we have material desires my advice is: Get a big box, put all the material desires inside. Just put them all inside, close the box and in big capital letters write on that box: "My material desires!"

Tie it up nicely, put it on the shelf and then get busy in service to Krishna. One day when you don't have so much to do, you think: "Today is the day that I'm going to play with my material desires!"

And you take the old box of the shelf, you look inside the box, and what do you see?

"Half of them gone! Who took my material desires?"

Who do you think took the material desires? Haven't you heard that Krishna is a thief? It is as simple as that. It's not difficult to overcome material desires.

Follow the pure devotee

We are somehow or other fallen by our conditioning and therefore everyone may have some weakness. But it is faith in the pure devotee that can give us the strength to try. We should at least try and not be defeated before we try.

There is a class of people that never go for spiritual life. They have already given up, already defeated before they begin. We should understand that by the mercy of the pure devotee everything is possible. We can get strength, we can get faith, we can get enthusiasm and we can do it!

Therefore we have to make that connection with a pure devotee and try to really follow the instructions of the pure devotee and become a pure devotee ourselves.

Queensday 2011

Queensday! Thousands of people walking through the streets, singing, drinking and celebrating the Queen's birthday in Amsterdam. It was really gross, people getting stoned, drunk and crazy. Sill, led by Kadamba Kanana Swami, a huge group of bold Vaishnavas made their way through the city. A Maha Harinama purified the streets of Amsterdam! The Harinama was intense: Five hours in the morning and another three hours in the evening – eight hours of ecstasy.

Vidyavicaspati Prabhu started with leading the Kirtana from Amsterdam temple to the city. Many of the orange dressed citizens joined in our singing and dancing! Next, Kadamba Kanana Maharaja took over the mike, and sure enough, through his ecstatic kirtana, brought the harinama to an even more intense level. Finally, on Dam square, Sacinandana Swami just went in complete absorption and it seemed, that he had made the whole square dance.

In that way the Harinama went on for the whole day and just showed how powerful and sweet this wonderful process of Harinama Sankirtana is.
