The Importance of Association

The Importance of Association

To illustrate the supreme value of spiritual association, Srila Prabhupada writes, "As fire is kindled from wood by another fire, the divine consciousness of man can similarly be kindled by another divine grace. His Divine Grace the spiritual master can kindle the spiritual fire from the woodlike living entity by imparting proper spiritual messages injected through the receptive ear." (Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.2.32, purport)

Although wood includes fire in the sense that it has the potential to burn, a piece of wood will ever remain dull wood, no matter how dry or inflammable it might be, unless it contacts fire. Similarly, each one of us needs to make contact with someone who is, so to speak, on fire with divine consciousness, or Krishna consciousness, so that our spiritual potential may be realized.

Another Vedic analogy says that just as a fertile woman must receive help from a man to conceive a child, any person, no matter how qualified, must receive the seed of spiritual life from Lord Krishna's pure devotee. From that seed grows the plant of devotion to Krishna.

After the initial wonderful event of receiving into our heart the divinely potent words of the guru, our devotional plant requires regular watering so that it may grow strong and healthy. Srila Prabhupada formed the International Society for Krishna Consciousness so that its members could regularly meet together and fulfill the purpose of such verses as "The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are fully devoted to My service, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss from always enlightening one another and conversing about Me." (Bhagavad-gita 10.9)

The Srimad-Bhagavatam (3.25.25) summarizes the results of meetings of devotees: "In the association of pure devotees, discussion of the pastimes and activities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is very pleasing and satisfying to the ear and heart. By cultivating such knowledge one gradually becomes advanced on the path of liberation, and thereafter he is freed and his attraction becomes fixed. Then real devotion and devotional service begin."

You might wonder where to find "pure devotees" and if you could ever be an ordinary devotee, what to speak of a pure one. Of course, it is highly desirable to associate with advanced devotees. But, like me, you might live away from devotees in the Krishna consciousness movement. So what can we do to get regular Krishna conscious association?

The two verses cited above can still apply to us, when we consider that the term pure devotee can refer either to the most elevated devotee or to a neophyte sincerely trying to become a devotee. Srila Prabhupada once said that all his disciples were pure devotees.

We can find other people in our area who are interested in practicing Krishna consciousness and associate with them. We can meet together and apply the principles Srila Rupa Gosvami outlines as the six symptoms of love shared by one devotee and another: giving and receiving gifts, revealing one's mind in confidence and inquiring confidentially, and offering and receiving prasadam, food offered to Krishna.

We can hold meetings in one another's homes, chant Hare Krishna, worship the Lord, share prasadam, read and discuss the Vedic scriptures, share with one another our efforts to practice spiritual life, and perhaps plan how we can help spread Krishna consciousness.

Because regulation is essential to the practice of Krishna consciousness, we should try to meet regularly with other aspiring devotees of Krishna. Out of vaidhi bhakti, or regulated devotional practice, grows raganuga bhakti, spontaneous devotional practice, which can mature into pure love for Krishna.

Being gratreful for the mercy will invite more mercy

When we are grateful for what we are provided with by Krishna, we will deserve more mercy from Krishna and His devotees. If not we will not get any mercy from Krishna and we will be deprived of whatever mercy we had.

False Prestige

False Prestige

We should protect ourselves from false prestige. Not like that we serve a little, and then we expect respect and prestige and we should not think that we are the doer. Sometime we preach a bit, get a bit of success, and then we can't put feet on ground, we go in sky. So Lord is telling here do not run after false prestige and also do not think that " I am the doer." As soon as you think that I am the doer, and it is because of me the success has been achieved then you will see that with time whatever little spiritual strength you have gained that gets lost.

Sometimes you are on the surface, sometimes you are being drowned. In this way your eternal life is being spoiled, simply catch hold of Kṛṣṇa and take shelter of His lotus feet

"Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear."

Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura sings: "My dear Lord, whatever I have—even my mind, the center of all material necessities. namely my home, my body and whatever I have in connection with this body—I now surrender unto You. You are now completely independent to act however You like. If You like, You can kill me, and if You like, You can save me. In any case, I am Your eternal servant, and You have every right to do whatever You like."

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, appears and gives instructions in the form of Bhagavad-gītā and Vedic literatures. The Supreme Lord gives these instructions because He is the eternal friend of the living entities. His instructions are important because by them the living entity can obtain liberation from bodily engagement. As water passes down a river, many straws and grasses are carried from the shore. These straws and grasses come together in the river's current, but when the waves toss this way and that, they are separated and carried somewhere else. Similarly, the innumerable living entities within this material world are being carried by the waves of material nature. Sometimes the waves bring them together, and they form friendships and relate to one another on a bodily basis of family, community or nationality. Eventually they are thrown out of association by the waves of material nature. This process has been going on since the creation of material nature. In this regard, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura sings:
miche māyāra vaśe, yāccha bhese',
khāccha hābuḍubu, bhai
jīva kṛṣṇa-dāsa, ei viśvāsa,
karle ta' āra duḥkha nāi

"My dear living entities, you are being carried away by the waves of material nature. Sometimes you are on the surface, sometimes you are being drowned. In this way your eternal life is being spoiled. If you simply catch hold of Kṛṣṇa and take shelter of His lotus feet, you will once again get free from all the miserable material conditions."

I feel a burning sensation constantly, day and night, and thus my mind cannot find satisfaction

TEXT 27

ananta-pāre tamasi
magno naṣṭa-smṛtiḥ samāḥ
śāśvatīr anubhūyārtiṁ
pramadā-saṅga-dūṣitaḥ

SYNONYMS

ananta-pāre—unlimitedly expanded; tamasi—in the material existence of darkness; magnaḥ—being merged; naṣṭa-smṛtiḥ—bereft of all intelligence; samāḥ—for many years; śāśvatīḥ—practically eternally; anubhūya—experiencing; ārtim—the threefold miseries; pramadā—of women; saṅga—by association; dūṣitaḥ—being contaminated.

Purport

Due to his contaminated association with women, a living entity like King Purañjana eternally suffers all the pangs of material existence and remains in the dark region of material life, bereft of all remembrance for many, many years.

This is a description of material existence. Material existence is experienced when one becomes attached to a woman and forgets his real identity as the eternal servant of Kṛṣṇa (naṣṭa-smṛtiḥ). In this way, in one body after another, the living entity perpetually suffers the threefold miseries of material existence. To save human civilization from the darkness of ignorance, this movement was started. The main purpose of the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is to enlighten the forgetful living entity and remind him of his original Kṛṣṇa consciousness. In this way the living entity can be saved from the catastrophe of ignorance as well as bodily transmigration. As Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura has sung:

anādi karama-phale, paḍi' bhavārṇava-jale,
taribāre nā dekhi upāya
ei viṣaya-halāhale, divā-niśi hiyā jvale,
mana kabhu sukha nāhi pāya

"Because of my past fruitive activities, I have now fallen into an ocean of nescience. I cannot find any means to get out of this great ocean, which is indeed like an ocean of poison. We are trying to be happy through sense enjoyment, but actually that so-called enjoyment is like food that is too hot and causes burning in the heart. I feel a burning sensation constantly, day and night, and thus my mind cannot find satisfaction."

In Kali Yuga, Making little money one looses one's credibility and a little word jugglery is enough to be considered a scholar.

Despair and Hope in the Age of Quarrel

(1) S'rî S'uka said: 'And then, o King, day after day under the strong influence of the time [of Kali-yuga] the religiousness, truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance and mercy as well as the duration of life, the strength and the memory will diminish [see also 1.16]. (2) In the age of Kali among man wealth alone will be the sign of a good birth, behavior and qualities and material power will be the only criterion in determining what would be just and right. (3) Marital relations will be based upon outer appearances, in business deceit will be the standard, whether one is considered manly or feminine will depend on one's sexuality and a sacred thread will suffice to be considered learned. (4) An outer mark will be enough to determine a person's spiritual status and will also suffice for changing one's confession, making little money one looses one's credibility and a little word jugglery is enough to be considered a scholar. (5) Poverty is taken for something unholy and hypocrisy is considered a virtue; a promise is enough to be married [to have premarital sex] and to take a bath [without any other morning routine] is enough to appear for the day. (6) A reservoir of water somewhere far away is considered a holy place, beauty depends on one's coiffure, life's purpose is to fill one's belly, audacity is considered truthfulness, able to maintain a family one is an expert and religious service is attended for one's reputation. (7) With the earth overpopulated with a populace thus corrupted, anyone among the intellectuals, the merchants or the ruling or working class who is the strongest, will be the King of the Hill. (8) The citizens whose wives and property is stolen by a merciless and avaricious ruling class behaving like ordinary thieves, will flee to the mountains and the forests. (9) Resorting to the consumption of vegetables, roots, meat, honey, fruits, flowers and seeds they will be ruined, suffering draught, tormented by famine and taxes [see also 1.16: 20, 4.20: 14, 4.21: 24, B.G. 3: 14]. (10) By cold, wind, heat, rain and snow plagued as well as by hunger, thirst and diseases, they suffer as a consequence a great deal of distress and anxiety. (11) The maximum duration of life for human beings in Kali-yuga will be fifty years. (12-16) When the bodies of all living entities by the contamination of Kali-yuga are in decay and the dutifulness of the members of all status-orientations is lost, when the vedic path fit for all man has changed into an atheistic conception of duty, when the kings predominantly act as thieves and men in their various occupations in truth are all lying bandits of meaningless slaughter, when the classes are predominantly [profit-]labor-minded, the cows are no better than goats, the hermitages are just like materialistic homes, family ties do not reach further than the bonds of marriage, when the plants and herbs have reduced in size and all trees are like s'amî trees, when there is always lightning in the clouds and the homes are ruled by loneliness [voidism, impersonalism, see Pranâti], when Kali-yuga is running at its end and the people have become like asses, the Supreme Lord will descend in the mode of pure goodness to defend the dharma.

(17) The spiritual master of all the moving and nonmoving beings, Lord Vishnu, the Controller of All, will for the protection of the religion and the saintly put an end to the fruitive activities and the [repeatedly] being born. (18) In the village of S'ambhala Lord Kalki will appear in the home of the great soul, the brahmin Vishnuyas'â ['the glory of Vishnu']. (19-20) Mounting His swift horse Devadatta, the Lord of the Universe endowed with His sword, transcendental qualities and the eight mystic opulences [siddhis], will subdue the ones who turned away from the holy. On His horse moving with speed about the earth He, unrivaled in His splendor, will slaughter the thieves disguised in the garb of kings. (21) When all the robbers have been killed, the minds of all the citizens and the people living in the countryside will clear up being touched by the breeze which carries the most sacred fragrance of the [with sandalwood paste] decorated body of Lord Vâsudeva. (22) When Vâsudeva, the Supreme Lord, is situated in their hearts in His transcendental form of goodness, the culture of their progeny will flourish as never before. (23) When the Supreme Lord Kalki, the Lord and Master of Dharma, incarnates, will Satya-yuga and the creation of progeny in the mode of goodness begin [see yuga]. (24) When the moon and the sun together with Jupiter [Bhrihaspatî] in the same constellation [of Karkatha or Cancer] enter the lunar mansion of Tishyâ [or Pushyâ, 3° 20´ to 16° 40´ see zodiac] that very moment Satya-yuga - or Krita - will begin.

How will You purify me???

I have neither spiritual strength nor transcendental knowledge how will you purify me Gopinath? My senses have never been kind upon me and i have always been faithfully serving but all i get in return are frustration and lamentation. There are principles regulating attachments and aversions pertaining to the senses and the sense objects. Those who are faithful in this path of devotion are resolute in purpose. This world is full of difficulties but Krishna is also called vignesh who removes all difficulties.

To gain faith in becoming happy in this world is foolish. There's no happiness here. To gain something we have loose something and so even before we start gaining we get loosing ourself in the thoughts, efforts involved in it.

Even if we become number one, soon our reign at the top will end.

Developing the loving relationship with Krishna is life's most wonderful achievement because it is abundant, eternal and fulfilling. Material achievements are short-lived & superficial. Even if we become number one, soon our reign at the top will end. As records are made to be broken, so are the hearts that seek their happiness in records.

Sacrifice with faith, austerities of body [BG.17.13]

Bhagavad-gita As It Is | Part [BG.17.13]

TEXT 13:

vidhi-hinam asrishtannam
mantra-hinam adakshinam
sraddha-virahitam yajnam
tamasam paricakshate

TRANSLATION:

Any sacrifice performed without regard for the directions of scripture,
without distribution of prasadam [spiritual food], without chanting of Vedic
hymns and remunerations to the priests, and without faith is considered to
be in the mode of ignorance.

PURPORT:

Faith in the mode of darkness or ignorance is actually faithlessness.
Sometimes people worship some demigod just to make money and then spend the
money for recreation, ignoring the scriptural injunctions. Such ceremonial
shows of religiosity are not accepted as genuine. They are all in the mode
of darkness; they produce a demoniac mentality and do not benefit human
society.

TEXT 14:

deva-dvija-guru-prajna-
pujanam saucam arjavam
brahmacaryam ahimsa ca
sariram tapa ucyate

TRANSLATION:

Austerity of the body consists in worship of the Supreme Lord, the
brahmanas, the spiritual master, and superiors like the father and mother,
and in cleanliness, simplicity, celibacy and nonviolence.

PURPORT:

The Supreme Godhead here explains the different kinds of austerity and
penance. First He explains the austerities and penances practiced by the
body. One should offer, or learn to offer, respect to God or to the
demigods, the perfect, qualified brahmanas and the spiritual master and
superiors like father, mother or any person who is conversant with Vedic
knowledge. These should be given proper respect. One should practice
cleansing oneself externally and internally, and he should learn to become
simple in behavior. He should not do anything which is not sanctioned by the
scriptural injunctions. He should not indulge in sex outside of married
life, for sex is sanctioned in the scripture only in marriage, not
otherwise. This is called celibacy. These are penances and austerities as
far as the body is concerned.

[SpiritualScientist] Why are Spiritualists Against Material Ambitions?

Subject: [SpiritualScientist] Why are Spiritualists Against Material Ambitions?
Reply-To: SpiritualScientist-owner@yahoogroups.com

Question: Why are Spiritualists Against Material Ambitions?

Short Answer: Spiritualists are not against material ambitions; they are against our granting materialism a monopoly on our ambitions.

Detailed Answer:

All of us are naturally ambitious to do something wonderful. But not all of us realize that we have not freely or objectively chosen our definition of what is wonderful; our definition is shaped, even determined, by what people around us consider wonderful. As our mainstream culture is largely materialistic, we subconsciously equate 'wonderful achievement' with 'materialistic achievement.'

But does this subconscious equalization withstand conscious scrutiny? Let's find out:

1.      Might materialistic achievements be not so wonderful?

All materialistic achievements are:

  1. Scarce: We want to be number one in our field, but the number of people who can be number one is one.
  2. Short-lived: Even if we become number one, others will soon end our reign at the top. As records are made to be broken, so are the hearts that seek their happiness in records.
  3. Superficial: Even if we stay briefly at the top, will that stay do anything more than bloat our egos? Will it satisfy our hearts? Our hearts long for love, so it is agonizing to discover that people love the top spot far more than the topper.

Thus, materialistic achievements are not so wonderful: there's no guarantee that we will achieve the top reward, but there's guarantee that, even if we achieve it, it won't satisfy us.

2.      Might non-materialistic achievements be wonderful?

Gita wisdom reveals a vast non-material realm where we can find happiness through spiritual love. It informs us that we are souls, beloved children of Krishna and can find life's greatest happiness by making Krishna the supreme object of our love. Developing this loving relationship with Krishna is life's most wonderful achievement because it is:

  1. Abundant (not scarce): Krishna has a place in his heart reserved for each one of us. As he is infinite, so is his heart. That's why in loving Krishna we don't have to compete with anyone else for his love or encroach on anyone else's happiness for our happiness.
  2. Eternal (not short-lived): As both we as souls and Krishna as the Supreme Soul are eternal, so is our mutual relationship and so is our happiness therein.
  3. Fulfilling (not superficial): Krishna possesses fully all the endearing qualities that attract our hearts. Moreover, he loves us for what we are, not for what we have. That's why loving him satisfies our heart like nothing else – completely and perfectly.

Thus, spiritual achievements are far more rewarding than material achievements – and they don't require us to give up all material achievements. What they do require is that we don't restrict our ambitiousness to only the material realm.

Is that too much of a demand?

To make food antiseptic, eatable and palatable for all persons, one should offer food to the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Part [BG.17.10]

Bhagavad-gita As It Is | Part [BG.17.10]

TEXT 10:

yata-yamam gata-rasam
puti paryushitam ca yat
ucchishtam api camedhyam
bhojanam tamasa-priyam

TRANSLATION:

Food prepared more than three hours before being eaten, food that is
tasteless, decomposed and putrid, and food consisting of remnants and
untouchable things is dear to those in the mode of darkness.

PURPORT:

The purpose of food is to increase the duration of life, purify the mind and
aid bodily strength. This is its only purpose. In the past, great
authorities selected those foods that best aid health and increase life's
duration, such as milk products, sugar, rice, wheat, fruits and vegetables.
These foods are very dear to those in the mode of goodness. Some other
foods, such as baked corn and molasses, while not very palatable in
themselves, can be made pleasant when mixed with milk or other foods. They
are then in the mode of goodness. All these foods are pure by nature. They
are quite distinct from untouchable things like meat and liquor. Fatty
foods, as mentioned in the eighth verse, have no connection with animal fat
obtained by slaughter. Animal fat is available in the form of milk, which is
the most wonderful of all foods. Milk, butter, cheese and similar products
give animal fat in a form which rules out any need for the killing of
innocent creatures. It is only through brute mentality that this killing
goes on. The civilized method of obtaining needed fat is by milk. Slaughter
is the way of subhumans. Protein is amply available through split peas, dal,
whole wheat, etc.

Foods in the mode of passion, which are bitter, too salty, or too hot or
overly mixed with red pepper, cause misery by reducing the mucus in the
stomach, leading to disease. Foods in the mode of ignorance or darkness are
essentially those that are not fresh. Any food cooked more than three hours
before it is eaten (except prasadam, food offered to the Lord) is considered
to be in the mode of darkness. Because they are decomposing, such foods give
a bad odor, which often attracts people in this mode but repulses those in
the mode of goodness.

Remnants of food may be eaten only when they are part of a meal that was
first offered to the Supreme Lord or first eaten by saintly persons,
especially the spiritual master. Otherwise the remnants of food are
considered to be in the mode of darkness, and they increase infection or
disease. Such foodstuffs, although very palatable to persons in the mode of
darkness, are neither liked nor even touched by those in the mode of
goodness. The best food is the remnants of what is offered to the Supreme
Personality of Godhead. In Bhagavad-gita the Supreme Lord says that He
accepts preparations of vegetables, flour and milk when offered with
devotion. Patram pushpam phalam toyam. Of course, devotion and love are the
chief things which the Supreme Personality of Godhead accepts. But it is
also mentioned that the prasadam should be prepared in a particular way. Any
food prepared by the injunctions of the scripture and offered to the Supreme
Personality of Godhead can be taken even if prepared long, long ago, because
such food is transcendental. Therefore to make food antiseptic, eatable and
palatable for all persons, one should offer food to the Supreme Personality
of Godhead.

Fine speech in women

Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita that He is present in fine speech in women. The Lord says these things when Arjuna asked Krishna as to how to remember Him in our day to day activities. Everything in this world is associated with the Lord and only those who have the eyes can see while others are blind to the reality.

This is very important for women to be pleasing to their husbands by their speech and the same applies to men as well towards their family members. But the point is Men are engaged in hard work while women are soft hearted and they can perform better in taking care of children and family with affection and care. Not that men can use harsh words all the time. But they have to use at times to put things in place at work and outside world and to rectify the faults and bad behaviour of children. By nature the speech of women are pleasing and for a person inflicted by the modes of nature it's poisonous and for a person who is well-situated in Krishna Consciousness, he remains undisturbed by the pleasing speech but sees Krishna in this pleasing quality of women.

This is the culture for human beings and it needs to be revived. This is also one of the seven mission statements of the Hare Krishna Movement. Cultural programs in India are not new. We can see the presentation of Vedic culture/Indian culture in the Festival of India programs conducted by HH.Indradyumna swami across the world. When animal culture is annihilated people become   peaceful and happy. In the present situation there's false propaganda that unlimited sex life will make everyone happy. Actually it's limited and miserable in everyway to those involved. All the marketing programs are based on this principle of exploiting people with this tactic. "Sarva Sukhno Bavantu", Let everyone become happy by practising the vedic culture and Krishna consciousness.

In the past we see there are numerous feminine personalities who used their pleasing voice to praise the glories of the Lord. And in the present also there are exalted personalities who sing very nicely for the pleasure of the Lord. Once when Lord Caitanya heard the the Gita Govinda being sung so nicely, he kept running to embrace the singer in ecstasy. Mahaprabhu was running at high speed towards the voice singing Gita Govinda for Lord Jagannath. But Govinda knew it was a woman singing and Govinda brought back Lord Caitanya to His senses that the singer is a woman and then the Lord appreciated Govinda saying,"Govinda you saved me"

Why am I doing it, What the results might be and Will I be successful

"Before you start some work, always ask yourself three questions - Why am I doing it, What the results might be and Will I be successful. Only when you think deeply and find satisfactory answers to these questions, go ahead."- Canakya Pandit

Senses have no mercy but Krishna and His devotees are merciful

If we see  from our childhood our senses have been demanding us to work for them like slaves for their satisfaction. At childhood attachment to playing, at youthhood to opposite sex and at old age to worldy or social affairs, where then is the time to know of the real self and reality????

For this reason these senses are also called as bad masters. Who would like to work for a bad master ever????

No matter how hard we try to gratify them they are demanding ever for more more and more and finally trapping is even more into the dark well of material existence forever.

We still have the choice, time and energy to choose our master and change our ugly work to blissful one with the beautiful master Shyama sundara, who recognizes and rewards for every minute endeavors we undertake on the path of attaining Him and His Love. This master Govinda is a perfect mystic. He is actually becoming servant of His pure unalloyed devotees. Mahabali has acquired all the three worlds, but still He had the mercy of his great grandfather Prahlad maharaj that He could sacrifice everything he had in one moment to Lord Vishnu who was in guise of a Brahmana begging alms.

Men of discernment deal only with the present moment.

"We should not fret for what is past, nor should we be anxious about the future; men of discernment deal only with the present moment."

You cannot worry too much about the faults you've done in the past, move on. To achieve great things in the future, you need to have the commitment today and not postpone hard work. Try out ideas the instant you get them. Just do it, life becomes so much more exciting - Canakta Pandit

We have natural attraction for Krishna!

Krishna consciousness is not a thing to be taught. It's already there within us. All we need to do is to revive it by associating with the devotees of Krishna.
Just as a young man and woman has natural attraction for each other, the soul has natural attraction for Krishna. One instance to understand is when Lord Caitanya went through the forest of jharkhand, he called the wild animals to chant and dance. Tiger and deer embraced out of Love and danced with Lord Caitanya. This shows when our Love for Krishna is revived,we naturally feel Love for all other living beings regardless of the external coverings of the soul.

By becoming a Vedic scholar,Krishna cannot be attained. It's by the mercy that flows from Krishna through His devotees, spiritual master it becomes possible to re-establish the lost Love for Krishna.

This revival of Krishna consciousness or the dormant Love for Krishna only can put off the blazing fire of lust which is burning in the hearts of the conditioned souls.

It's not the number of verses a person can quote from the vedas,it's the mercy the devotee carries within his heart to the other conditioned beings which revives the lost Love for Krishna. Of course the vedic literature can also be used by the devotees to establish the principles that invoke devotional service to the Lord.

TRANSLATION

1)
I know now Your divine feet are a refuge free from all sorrow and fear, eternally full of sweet nectar.

2)
At the soles of those lotus feet I surrender myself and all I possess.

3)
O Lord, there is no other protection but You in this world of birth and death.

4)
At last I know myself to be Your eternal servant, whose maintenance You have assured.

5)
Life before, without You, held nothing but sorrow. Now I live free from all misery

6)
Laksmi, desiring such a place at Your lotus feet, executed austerities. Only after securing a place by Your lotus feet did Lord Siva attain his sivatva, or quality of auspiciousness.

7)
Upon obtaining those feet Lord Brahma became successful in life, and the great sage Narada Muni held those two feet to his heart.

8)
Your lotus feet drive away all fear. Having held them to my head, I dance in great ecstasy, singing their glories.

9)
Your lotus feet will deliver Bhaktivinoda from the perils of worldly journey.
