Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva.
The Lord by His causeless mercy descends Himself to save the poor conditioned souls like us from the clutches of maya. But we out of our pride always fail to express our gratitude to the Lord for all the help He is giving us in saving us from material miseries. In Srimad Bhagavatam 11.29.6, it is stated
naivopayanty apacitim kavayas tavesha
brahmaayushapi krtam rddha-mudah smarantah
yo 'ntar bahis tanu-bhrtaam ashubam vidhunvann
aacarya-caittya-vapushaa sva-gatim vyanakti
"O my Lord! Transcendental poets and experts in spiritual science could not fully express their indebtedness to You, even if they were endowed with the prolonged lifetime of Brahma, for You appear in two features—externally as the acarya and internally as the Super-soul—to deliver the embodied living being by directing him how to come to You."
It is not only for the transcendental poets or the spiritual science experts, but the duty of everyone who have got a human body. Although the human body is an asset, it is more valuable that the Lord enters into this body as Super-soul to guide one from the end less material misery. As told by Sri Jiva Gosvami, Lord Krishna is 10 million times dearer to a devotee than the life itself. We will not be in a position to repay for the debts that Lord is giving us, even if we perform sincere devotional service for millions of birth.
Our beloved spiritual master H H Mahavishnu Goswami Maharaj has many times quoted this below shloka from Ramayana (Yuddha kanda 18.33) which is also quoted in Caitanya Caritamrta (Madhya lila -22.34),
sakrt eva prapanno yas / tavaasmeeti ca yaacate
abhayam sarvadaa tasmai / dadaamy etad vratam mama
"If any living entity takes shelter of Me even once saying, 'I am Yours', then I award that entity freedom from all fear. This is My solemn pledge."
When Lord gives such promise, we should endeavor to express our gratitude every second of our life. Sri Krishna is very affectionate toward His devotees and He is ready to sell Himself to one who is sincerely says thanks to Him by offering a mere tulasi leaf and a palm full of water. Only thing we can do is to express our gratitude at every walk of life to our spiritual master and Krishna.
Let me pray at the lotus feet of Gurudeva and Srila Prabhupada that I always remember to express my gratitude sincerely.
