"Who are the devotees in ISKCON we trust? Whom do we consider to be worthy of our trust?"

Since ISKCON has such high knowledge and standards, most of the people expect to see at least some excellent examples. Such devotees are trustworthy because they practice what they preach, they live what they teach, they walk their talk. Caitanya Mahaprabhu had pointed out the principle of acar-pracar. Excellent saintly behaviour, both public and private, is necessary for highly effective preaching. That's integrity.

We can ask ourselves and put down on paper the names of devotees we trust. And then write down the reasons why we trust them. Perhaps someone is regularly attending the Temple Morning Program, seriously chanting his rounds, respecting devotees, not criticizing, doing steady service. Or he also has decent behavior, does not lose his temper, talks reasonably, makes thoughtful, sane decisions. And he tries to be a good role model - the change he seeks.

This is one way to understand how we can become trustworthy - by seeing what induces us to trust others. Srila Prabhupada had given us the principle of love and trust. Trust is only possible between trustworthy individuals.

Action: One question a leaders might ask himself is: Do I consider the trust of the devotees whom I lead important for my service to them and my service to ISKCON?
