Urmila Edith Best
Sometimes the mode of goodness becomes prominent, defeating the modes of passion and ignorance, O son of Bharata. Sometimes the mode of passion defeats goodness and ignorance, and at other times ignorance defeats goodness and passion. In this way there is always competition for supremacy. Bg 14.10

Dinesh Mahesh Kumar
How should we deal with the modes mataji. This cycle always repeats..in some proportion to a Sadhaka as he is not completely freed from the modes.

Urmila Edith Best "When a living entity stays in this material world embodied by the material body, it is to be understood that he is under the control of one of the three modes of material nature. When he is actually out of the body, then he is out of the clutches of the material modes of nature. But as long as he is not out of the material body, he should be neutral. He should engage himself in the devotional service of the Lord so that his identity with the material body will automatically be forgotten. When one is conscious of the material body, he acts only for sense gratification, but when one transfers the consciousness to Krsna, sense gratification automatically stops. One does not need this material body, and he does not need to accept the dictations of the material body. The qualities of the material modes in the body will act, but as spirit soul the self is aloof from such activities. How does he become aloof? He does not desire to enjoy the body, nor does he desire to get out of it. Thus transcendentally situated, the devotee becomes automatically free. He need not try to become free from the influence of the modes of material nature."
purport Bg 14.22-25

Urmila Edith Best Sivarama Swami: "Before devotees attain steadiness, the presence of abundant unwanted habits makes them lightning rods for the modes of passion and ignorance. Awake or asleep, such devotees are easy targets. When passion predominates, they feel sexually disturbed and therefore humiliated. When goodness defeats passion they find themselves hoping for imminent deliverance from material
life. But when ignorance defeats goodness and passion, such
devotees despair. Until most of their bad habits leave the heart,
devotees are unable to become steady in their spiritual practices no
matter how hard they try. This summarizes the relatively unfulfilling
state of unsteady devotional service.

But as unwanted habits leave the heart, passion and ig no rance
decrease proportionately and the mode of goodness becomes
increasingly dominant."

Dinesh Mahesh Kumar But what about people like me who are not engaged in direct devotional service? working in firm and at times there is too much frustration due to long travel to the work place. despite my great efforts to rolerate, I fail and get or feel enormous frustration at times....what are the means to get rid I'd frustration ? I see people who get too much pressure getting addicted too sense enjoyment in most cases. but I am trying my level best. There's loneliness and psychological challenges due to mechanical life...

Dinesh Mahesh Kumar I understand from frustration madness arises

Urmila Edith Best The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Those who fix their minds on My personal form and are always engaged in worshiping Me with great and transcendental faith are considered by Me to be most perfect.
PURPORT
In answer to Arjuna's question, Kṛṣṇa clearly says that he who concentrates upon His personal form and who worships Him with faith and devotion is to be considered most perfect in yoga. For one in such Kṛṣṇa consciousness there are no material activities, because everything is done for Kṛṣṇa. A pure devotee is constantly engaged. Sometimes he chants, sometimes he hears or reads books about Kṛṣṇa, or sometimes he cooks prasādam or goes to the marketplace to purchase something for Kṛṣṇa, or sometimes he washes the temple or the dishes—whatever he does, he does not let a single moment pass without devoting his activities to Kṛṣṇa. Such action is in full samādhi.
purport Bg 12.2

Urmila Edith Best Prescribed duties must be performed with this mentality. One should act without attachment for the result; he should be disassociated from the modes of work. A man working in Krsna consciousness in a factory does not associate himself with the work of the factory, nor with the workers of the factory. He simply works for Krsna. And when he gives up the result for Krsna, he is acting transcendentally.
purport  Bg 18.9

Urmila Edith Best Therefore, Arjuna, you should always think of Me in the form of Kṛṣṇa and at the same time carry out your prescribed duty of fighting. With your activities dedicated to Me and your mind and intelligence fixed on Me, you will attain Me without doubt.
PURPORT
This instruction to Arjuna is very important for all men engaged in material activities. The Lord does not say that one should give up his prescribed duties or engagements. One can continue them and at the same time think of Kṛṣṇa by chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. This will free one from material contamination and engage the mind and intelligence in Kṛṣṇa. By chanting Kṛṣṇa's names, one will be transferred to the supreme planet, Kṛṣṇaloka, without a doubt.
Bg 8.7

Dinesh Mahesh Kumar Thank you very much mataij.... I felt so depressed and now I will carry on at work place...may be due to fasting I am feeling restless...and difficult..will come to your house for prasadam.....with your permission :))
